Abstract

Introduction: The quality of human resources significantly influences economic development, creating a reciprocal relationship. In South Kalimantan, a priority region supporting Indonesia’s new capital city (IKN), understanding the role of education programs like the ETOS Scholarship in enhancing human capital is crucial. Problem Formulation: This research wants to explore how the ETOS Scholarship improves human resource quality, encompassing Islamic values and social relationships in South Kalimantan. Method: This study employs a qualitative case study approach, utilizing in-depth interview and thematic analysis to explore the ETOS Scholarship’s impact on awardee human resource quality. Result: The ETOS Scholarship enhances awardees’ human resource quality by integrating material support with programs emphasizing integrity, professionalism, and transformation, fostering character development and competencies for future societal contributions. Conclusion: The ETOS Scholarship significantly enhances awardees’ human resource quality, improves economic well-being, and empowers future leaders, serving as a strategic tool for Muslim community development and fostering societal contributions through holistic education and character-building initiatives.
