Abstract

This study aims to develop a model of indicator, which can measure a condition of a region, such as a village, concerning its recent circumstances of access to water and the practice of sanitation among its population. Such an indicator is beneficial for the stakeholders, particularly BAZNAS, in order to best target its distribution programme specialised at improving clean and safe water and sanitation. In addition, such an indicator can also harmonise the recent projects of BAZNAS with the SDGs No 6, which is sustainable clean and safe water and sanitation. This study is the first scholarly article to construct and propose such a method of measurement. However, the indicator developed demands a future study.
